Hello! And welcome to Question Thursday, the day when I ask real questions to people who will never answer them.
So, JK Rowling, I have a question for you. Why is it that in Harry Potter, no one watches TV?
But, seriously, why? We know that they use other things that Muggles have, like radios, trains, and cars. I mean they don't use phones, but there are many other magical forms of communication. But why don't they use TV? Like say one day, HP and the gang are bored, and they don't want to play Quidditch, and they've already read Care of Magical Creatures or whatever and they just want some passive entertainment? You're telling me they can't flip on the telly(as they say in the UK)? I think there's a lot of untapped potential there. I mean we already know that they have some very famous magical singers and stuff, why can't they have shows specifically for the magical community? You know, like the Wizarding History Channel could have a documentary of HP's life, and the origins of wandwoods etc. etc. And there could even be some Wizarding sitcoms. You know like, Wizards of Waverly Place, except not lame.
Also! No movies! Like if there was no TV and no movie theater, life would be pretty boring, at least for me. I mean what do people even do when they hang out with their friends? You go out to eat, and watch a movie, amirite?
Inquiring minds want to know, JK Rowling!
